BISHOPTON DAY SUCCESS!!!

EmilyIt was a fantastic event this year, with so many events on in different parts of the field it has to be one of the best yet, the dogs were cute, the horses were graceful and the nobbly knees were, well, nobbly.

Photos will be posted shortly, and if we have captured you you can request a photo which we'll send you by email, if you want the photo on paper, we'll give you those options too!

I'll leave you with the image that tells you how good the day was from the DJ on the Float!

Wooden Huts Vs. Stone Huts

Created as a temporary measure in the 60's and 40 years later nature did what the Council didn't. Do you remember the old wooden school huts?

Can you remember what happened to them? Let us remind you of that old Bishopton institution, the Bishopton Primary School wooden huts!

Renfrewshire Council

We have a shameful situation of Renfrewshire Council pushing through planning permission for the largest contaminated land in Europe.

Contamination

Disregarding major concerns argued by Bruce McFee, who explained that the application did not comply with the EiP recommendations, Structure Plan Policy and Local Plan Policy and he also detailed the inadequacy of the conditions attached to the consent.  But they voted to go ahead.

This would so much easier if we had the funds to buy a councillor, sorry, I meant lobby a councillor, if anyone out there has a limitless expense account could you get in contact... any MP's?

POT HOLE HELL

We get a lot of emails about the pot holes, well, we are in Renfrewshire! The local council seems to have a small team on "patch up duty". So to make this easy for you all. We will take photos of the pot holes you tell us about (and we find) with measurements and dates. Lets understand that we have holes that go beyond "pot" and become better defined as "crater".

Got a Pot Hole you need to tell us about - email us at potholehell

Pot holes are not the only issue, road edges seem just as dangerous. i.e. Ferry Road:

Finding Jesus

A Sunday school teacher is concerned that his students might be a little confused about Jesus, so he asks his class, "Where is Jesus today?"

Steven raises his hand and says, "He's in Heaven."

Mary answers, "He's in my heart."

Little Johnny waves his hand furiously and blurts out, "He's in our bathroom!"

The surprised teacher asks Little Johnny how he knows this.

"Well," Little Johnny says, "every morning, my father gets up, bangs on the bathroom door and yells 'Jesus Christ, are you still in there?!'"
