Happens in June, some times we get sun some times we get wet but the whole thing is about getting the community together!

For most groups, the money they make here helps them hire the rooms and the halls for their events or buys the equipment or helps their target group.

In addition to the gala day, known locally as ‘Bishopton Day’, Bishopton Week Group coordinated and organised a range of events to suit all age groups within the community. These have included, arts exhibitions, car boot sales and even a Robert Burns memorabilia display. Children’s magic shows, tea dances, and a popular fun run around the village ending with a ceilidh are all part of the events.

A small parade starts the day, themed for each year, as you'll see!

The one thing that is important is the people behind the event, those who work hard for the community, the organisers, the clear up crew and the other VIP's, the people who come along and take part and get involved......

the community!
