Race for Life - Argyll

Race for Life is Cancer Research UK’s flagship event that has grown to become the UK’s largest women-only fund raising event.

In 2007 we brought together 665,000 women to walk, jog or run 5k to raise £40 million pounds for Cancer Research UK – the world’s leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research.

Argyll Duffy:

Argyll has elected to run in this event to raise money in memory of her mum, Margaret Duffy. Margaret was well know in the village and beyond for her work with the  Playgroupand the Guides.

She was a special person whose life brought about enthusiasm and joy. She was taken from us in November 2007 after showing tremendous courage and dignity in the face of a terrible illness.

She is greatly missed by her family and friends.
