Mapping the village

It's been ages since I updated this Blog, very sorry about that!

Bishopton coming online!
My excuse is that we have been busy helping launch new village web sites.... Bishopton Day have now got their web site up and running and are working on building the content, although they are advertising it, they are fairly flat out organising the weeks events! You can take a look but remember, it's not officially launched: www.bishoptonday.com

Not content with this, the next web site to come on stream in Bishopton is Bishopton Community Council. Again their web site is under construction but have a look www.bishoptoncouncil.com.

So who's next to get online ...... it's easy and your supported!

Updates

Thanks to Alan for spotting that we hadn't updated our Local and Outside Management page

All updated now and we added in links to the European Parliament too. Does anyone ever speak to them, more importantly does any of the "elected" members ever speak to us?

I'll drop them an email! Assuming they have and use them!

A big skip

Thanks, if that's the right word, for all the emails I have received re the Golf Inn and the "Big Skip".

To answer everyone, there is nothing to report back on, the family was just clearing away some rubbish that needed cleared, it's just taken them a bit of time to do it!

As soon as anything happens we'll report it, promise!

Did you know according to some of the rumours:

1 We have moved to Erskine
2 Stuart Duffy is re opening the pub
3 An international consortium is buying the pub
4 There is a sports centre to be erected on the site
5 An ex Rangers football player has bought it

Some people have way too much time on their hands. Though I like the sports centre idea - once you get by the fact that you have changing rooms you could probably just  make a badminton court out of it. As I said, way to ...

Huge Oops

We screwed up a little. We were working on the new web site for Erskine and we posted the changes up to Bishopton, it's the same design template but different layout! Very confusing!

We're just about to put up the web site and were testing some aspects of the web site that requires server software to ensure we got it right. We have several test servers for just that aspect of our design stage. Unfortunately, on this occasion, we usually have a back up server to Bishopton, so if for any reason it crashed on one server we can swap to the back up server, we forgot to disable the back up server option (the joys of cut and pasting code!).

Anyway, we're sorry and we've corrected the error now.

Newsletter

I thought I would let everyone know that the newsletter is about to start up again. It's been nearly a year and it's one of the most asked questions to the web site. My life has been a bit stressful over the last year and a half, possibly longer but that is blotted out by my mind so I can't remember back that far.
Anyway, we are looking forward to the web site developing and in response to emails about the home page, we're going to make changes to it, get to know first in the InBishopton InBox
